IronBee vs Autonoma
IronBee verifies every change your agents make from its diff, inside the coding agent and on the previews you already have, with no suite to generate first. Autonoma is an end-to-end testing platform: it generates a test suite from your codebase and, for each pull request, runs the tests it selects on a preview environment.
- Minutes to set up, with no suite to generate
- A gate inside Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, in enforce mode
- Your previews verified on Vercel and Netlify when they go live
- Full stack frontend, backend, mobile and CLI, in the coding agent
What IronBee brings
Set up in minutes
IronBee is set up in a few minutes: create a free account, install the GitHub App, then add the GitHub Action or the Vercel or Netlify integration and enable your project. Autonoma’s setup is one planner command in three parts: a preview environment, a generated test suite and a test-data endpoint in your backend. Its docs say a full planner run takes an hour or more.
No suite to generate
A suite generated by reading your code still has to be proven against the app, and healed as the app changes. IronBee’s verification needs no suite. It reads each diff, drives what the change can reach on the running app and returns a verdict, so there is nothing to generate, calibrate or heal.
Before the pull request
A review on the pull request starts once there is a pull request. IronBee starts earlier, inside Claude Code, Cursor and Codex: in enforce mode a completion hook runs verification before the agent can finish a code change, so a broken change is caught before it becomes a pull request.
The app you already run
IronBee verifies what you already have: the preview Vercel or Netlify built, a deployed URL, or your app started on the GitHub runner. It needs no preview environment built for it.
More than a browser session
Driving a web app in a real browser is one way to verify a change. IronBee drives the page too, and can call an API directly, with OpenTelemetry spans from the same request. Inside the coding agent it goes further: the Node.js and Python runtimes and CLI programs in a terminal.
The fix on the branch
A failed run does not have to end with a report. IronBee’s analysis reads the evidence, OpenTelemetry spans from the same request and your code, and names a file, a line and a reason. With the GitHub Action the fix can be committed to the pull request branch, and inside the coding agent the agent applies the fix and IronBee verifies again.
Question by question
| Question | IronBee | Autonoma |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | An AI QA engineer: it verifies each change on the real app and returns a verdict with evidence. | An end-to-end testing platform that reviews each pull request on a preview environment. |
| What you set up | The GitHub App and one integration: the GitHub Action, Vercel or Netlify. The gate inside the coding agent is a separate CLI install. | One planner command, in three parts: preview environments, a generated suite, and a test-data endpoint in your backend. |
| What a run checks | What the change can reach, worked out from the diff. | Tests it selects for the change, from the suite it generated from your codebase. |
| Inside the coding agent | A completion hook in Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. In enforce mode it runs verification before the agent can finish a code change. | An MCP server for setup and for fixing what a review flagged on a pull request. |
| Beyond the browser | It can call an API directly. Inside the coding agent: the Node.js and Python runtimes and the terminal. | It exercises a web app in a real browser. |
| When a check fails | A root cause down to a file and a line. With the GitHub Action, the fix can be committed to the branch. | A review on the pull request with the verdict and the evidence, written for a coding agent to act on. Its analysis adds a suspected cause in your code. |
| Vercel and Netlify previews | Built in: a deployment check on Vercel and a card on the Netlify deploy summary. | Its own preview environments by default, or yours: Vercel through its integration, others through a signed webhook. |
| Price | Free for 3 seats. Team: $15 per seat a month. | Pay as you go, in credits, with a free starting balance. Free to self-host. |
IronBee or Autonoma, answered.
What people ask when the alternative generates the test suite for you.
Yes, if you want each change verified without first generating a suite. Autonoma reviews a pull request by running the tests it selects for the change, from a suite it generated from your codebase, on a preview environment. IronBee needs no suite: it works out what to verify from the diff, and inside Claude Code, Cursor and Codex it can hold the agent until the change is verified.
